I bought my Blackstar ID Core Stereo 40 at my local Music-go round for under $100 a few years ago. the next year I bought a Starcaster, Strat electric guitar (said it on the head stock. I got it to mod it extremely to my taste.,,, I hand made a stainless steel pick guard to hold the 3 quad rail humbuckers wired like a Les Paul '50's wiring with coil splitting with P/P volume pots and Tone pots all %00K Ohm the bridge tone Is also a P/P to activate the bridge and neck P/U s regardless of the 5-way selector switch. wiring all that was quite the adventure. I haven't bothered to figure out how many combinations I can get with all the various controls. If I want more volume from my amp I simply go from the headphone jacl through an adapter cable to rcs stereo into the CD input of my surround sound receiver, including the subwoofer. deeper tones plus the full range from the rest of the speakers. If I want to go 'Stealth mode I just use a pair of headphones and jam out in private. and no, ear buds ar not a good idea, the sound is too harsh in my opinion. , with the power of the Humbuckers in my guitar each at an average of 18,5 K Ohms , I used .047 orange drop tone caps. the custom paint job I gave the guitar os stars and Planets over black and blue background done with spray cans and airbrush setailing on the body and matching head stock. in keeping with it's new name, the "Stellarcaster". totally unique and cool looing. It plays geat too.

For me 2 guitars is good. When perform live, second guitar can cover the riff when the other guitar doing solo part. Except the original song really don't have the riff during the guitar solo part. The keys can cover it but for a metal/rock song, second guitar way better.

Greetings I am learning piano from a teacher from scratch, plus music theory on and off on my own, from a book or two. Problem is, I already play a little guitar and I don’t want to lose touch. So I think to myself, maybe a workout book would be a good idea. Would the Grimoire exercise book fit the bill in your opinion. Tia.

I know this is more of a ‘classic rock’ oriented list, but Robert Vigna is extremely underated IMO.

Kirk hammett is overrated when you get into metal but as soon as you find better artist. You realize how he dont age as well.

I realize that taste is mostly subjective. But , calling Zappa a guitarist is like calling Picasso an artist. Zappa was abstract through and through.... this list is 100% accurate. Via is super talented and could have made some great music , but instead, in a desperate attempt to be different, he chose to play abstract and therefore, his music suffered. Again, I understand that it's subjective. But even a blind person thinks they understand color .

You mentioned lerxt aka big al and his soaring guitar .but his solo alblum victor had so much zappa he said after recording it it made him realize where his playing was going

Keef is unique, with his riffs. He's the 'Riffmeister' with his open tunings and his 5 string guitars. You can replace a Ron Wood in the Stones but not a Keith Richards. Is he a virtuoso? No, but a damn good and original player.

Nothing better than lifespan 2.0. Use them on all my Martins both hog and RW. I hate 80/20. They sound distorted and buzzy. Very cheap tone unbalanced. The unwound strings overpower the bass and sound tinny

I watched 10 action lowering videos and this is the only one that actually showed this method. Everybody else is turning the guitar over and messing with the spring system and kinds of other crap and talking for 20 minutes. Thank you so much

Do you want to bet? 80/20 strings are so much better for supporting vocals... You need a coated or at least a treated string so they don't die too quick...that's it. D'Addario's XS and XT strings Don't sound treated it coated. Now if you're playing rosewood... You're talking about a double mid scoop... That often isn't the best idea
